Onur Özer stammt zwar aus Istanbul, der Metropole am Bosporus, ist jedoch ebenso in Berlin zuhause. Özer versucht denn auch nicht seine Herkunft zu vertonen, sondern ist ein internationaler Musiker im eigentlichen Sinne: Seine Wurzeln sind zwar immer spürbar, jedoch hat er die Ohren nach allen Seiten offen, lässt sich von den unterschiedlichsten Quellen beeinflussen und färbt seine Produktionen und Kompositionen nicht in Lokalkolorit, sondern versieht sie mit der unverwechselbaren Marke „Onur Özer“. Dies tut er auf so überragende Weise, sodass er selbst den Cocoon-Übervater Sven Väth zu beeindrucken vermochte, der ihn flugs für seinen Imprint unter Vertrag nahm. Nicht zuletzt deshalb zählt Özer zu jener dünnen Schicht DJs, die sich aussuchen können, in welchem Land und für welchen Club sie am kommenden Wochenende spielen möchten.

“Andreas von Herzogenburg" is both trained pianist as well as accomplished electronic musician. He plays cool, housey grooves but also virtuoso solos. He attempts to connect the two worlds of electronic and improvised music to get the best of both sides and to sustain the development of music in the 21st century.
